Who am I

My name is Michael McCain. I was born and raised in Huntsville, AL and have lived in several states and countries. My wife is Ann McCain who is originally from SC; we have been married for 36 years and have lived in Red Bank since Aug of 2014. I have 2 girls from a previous marriage, Sarah and Alissa who lived with me until I married Ann and then we added her and her two boys Josh and Paul to the brew, a true “Brady Bunch.” Ann is a retired public school teacher and is active with church, grandchildren and a book club. My hobby is cars. I presently have an older Alfa Romeo that I like to work on and take to car shows. I love the car community. They are a group of people that regardless of who you are or what you believe can all talk about cars and life and have a good laugh. I have tried to provide a glimpse into my life so you can better understand me.

Faith, Family & Ethics

For me all three are deeply intertwined. I was raised by parents that grew up during the depression. My father served in the Navy during WWII and my mother worked on a Navy Base during the war. My sister and I were raised in a Christian home. We were taught that your word was your bond and never compromise your dignity. My parents have passed on but I can still hear them giving advice and encouraging me. Faith is my cornerstone and it is placed on the solid rock of Jesus Christ. I firmly believe that each and every person is created equal in the eyes of God and that each person is to be respected and treated with dignity. I am neither saint nor haint, just a sinner saved by grace. I simply ask that if we should meet and have a discussion, regardless of our philosophies, that we both learn from the encounter. Let us learn what we have in common and work from there while respecting each others differences.
